![]() ![]() If you are having difficulty with popups, the registry edits can be done in Safe Mode, and CCleaner will allow you to modify the Startup from Safe Mode as well. At first I thought it was a Win 7 built in program but on Googling it up I now believe its a pop. ![]() Its really, really annoying to say the least You know, youre right in the middle of doing something important and this damn thing comes out of nowhere. Only recently have I been getting this popping up. Allow any items for Registry Mechanic to have checkmarks and delete them (making a backup when it prompts you). I guess this belongs here seeing what the program tries to do. Now run CCleaner again and this time select the second item, Registry cleaner. Delete Registry Mechanic from your program directory and check the user configurations as well (may need to show hidden files to do this) to make sure it is all deleted. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove PC Tools Registry Mechanic. Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program). If CCleaner is working, start it and go to the Tools / Startup section and make sure there is no reference to starting Registry Mechanic or RunOnce in it. When you find the program PC Tools Registry Mechanic, click it, and then do one of the following: Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall. RightClick on it and select delete.īe careful that you only delete referencies to RegistryMechanic. now go to Hkey_Users/Software scroll down to RegistryMechanic. now go to Hkey_Local_Machine/Software scroll down to RegistryMechanic. The best hint I have is to – Backup your machine and registry – have a restore disk! click start>search for regedit>rightclick it and select run as administrator click on Hkey_Current_User/Software scroll down to RegistryMechanic. ![]() Registry Mechanic can be a real hassle to uninstall. ![]()
